Tuuci®, the design manufacturer of nautically inspired parasols and shade structures, today announces the opening of a new Atlanta showroom in AmericasMart, Building 1, Suite 2-C12. Following Chicago last month, this marks the company’s second showroom opening during its 25th year in design and engineering innovation. The space was completed in advance of International Casual Furnishing Association’s (ICFA) Casual Market Atlanta, taking place July 10-13.
“Our goal with the Atlanta showroom was to give visitors an immediate impression of the premium design and engineering of every Tuuci product,” said Dougan Clarke, Founder, CEO and Chief Product Architect for Tuuci. “The space tells the story of our marine roots in subtle, artistic ways while allowing customers to enjoy our shade solutions in situ. Whether they’re designing outdoor spaces for commercial, hospitality, or residential environments, they can envision how our solutions will add beauty, comfort, and simplicity to outdoor living.”
To build a sense of excitement and anticipation, a curvilinear wall hides the full showroom from view upon entry, piquing curiosity, and welcoming visitors to explore the 4,000-square-foot space. Designed by Gensler, the team created zones within the showroom, separating the social space and entertaining area from client-focused meeting and workshop spaces. The entire design serves as a hospitable and inspiring creative workshop for Tuuci clients.
“The concept for Tuuci’s Atlanta showroom references the world of sailing and yachting, and nods to the brand’s refined craftsmanship with warm teak accents,” said Helen Hopton, Principal at Gensler. “A curvilinear mass defines zones within the space, and is the backdrop for hospitality and entertainment, product information, display and workshopping with clients on product selection and specifications.”
Both new showrooms in Atlanta and Chicago give customers the opportunity to experience the comfort and quality of Tuuci’s outdoor collections firsthand, including parasols, cabanas, lounges, urban garden planters, and hammocks. Customers are also invited to browse the customizable enhancements Tuuci offers, from premium finishes and fabrics to built-in heating, lighting, and automation.
“The experience we created for the Atlanta showroom is focused on inspiring designers by showcasing the possibilities within the Tuuci brand,” said Todd Heiser, Managing Director at Gensler. “We are thrilled to design a space where the local design community can engage with these elegant, functional products.”
Located in downtown Atlanta, the AmericasMart complex contains more than 7.1 million square feet of exhibition space. It is the world’s single-largest collection of wholesale home, gift and apparel showrooms, including casual and outdoor furnishings. Design professionals are invited to tour the Tuuci showroom during Casual Market Atlanta in Building 1, Suite 2-C12.
